Timber Creek High School

PROJECT COST: $81,304,488

Timber Creek High School

Upon entering Timber Creek High School, students in grades nine through 12 are welcomed into a two-story atrium and main corridor, balanced by academic and administration areas on one side and fine arts, a commons area and athletics spaces on the other. The administrative suite, located near the front door, maximizes its visual presence and provides increased security for building occupants. This is the fourth high school for the Keller Independent School District. It is 365,140 sq. ft. and is designed to serve 2,100 to 2,500 students.

Timber Creek High School was design with sustainability in mind. The building is sited to maximize north light in the learning spaces, and large clerestory windows in the main corridor and the center of each classroom wing maximize daylighting. Additionally rainwater from the roof and the site will be collected in a landscaped retention pond which will be used to irrigate the athletic fields. The building is conditioned by a geothermal HVAC system.
