Fort Sam Houston Medical Education Training Campus
Project Cost: $136, 947,132
As subcontractor to Hensel Phelps, Warrior Group is providing design assistance, manufacturing, quality control, installation and project management for the development of Fort Sam Houston METC. The hybrid project, combining both permanent modular and site-build methods, will be composed of two, four-story permanent modular complexes totaling 502,000 sq ft that meet the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Antiterrorist Force Protection requirements, including progressive collapse features.
The design of the project will be reminiscent of high-end condos to showcase the four-story buildings, composed of 682 modules that combine permanent modular and site-build construction. The buildings will be placed in the shape of the letter “E,” while the exterior is planned to be split-faced block with stucco for a contemporary appearance.
