TxDOT Making Safer Routes to Pecos Schools

Text size: A A
The Texas Dept. of Transportation is overseeing a Safe Routes to School construction project to improve sidewalks, curb ramps and bike routes leading to an elementary and junior high.

The project, which will be built by C&C Road Construction of El Paso, includes pedestrian crosswalks, curbing, sidewalk and driveway improvements along several city streets.

The $582,000 project is funded from a federal grant awarded through the Safe Routes to School program.
