Aggregate Technologies and Pieper-Houston Electric were the winners of the 2009 Associated General Contractors Houston Safety Excellence Awards. Receiving the award for Houston Safety Professional of 2009 was Alfonso Hernandez of T.A.S. Commercial Concrete Construction.
The two companies and Hernandez were recognized for outstanding commitment to jobsite safety. The awards were presented at the AGC Houston Annual Mid-Year Focus on Safety Meeting.
Also honored were local AGC members who placed in the AGC National Annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards program: SpawGlass won first place in the Building Division, 100,000 – 300,000 work hours; Brookstone LP won second place in the Building Division, 100,000 – 300,000 work hours; Fretz Construction won third place in the Construction Management Division, 100,000 – 500,000 work hours.
