commentConstruction is under way for a new, $38 million Beaumont Independent School District multi-purpose athletic facility located on an 85-acre tract of land. The project includes a 10,365-seat stadium, a press box, a 10,600-square-foot field house, ticket booths, offices and a 27,700-square-foot natatorium building. Completion of the complex is scheduled for 2010. SHW Group’s Houston studio was selected as the project architect while Parsons Corp.’s Houston office is serving as the program manager. Turner Construction Company’s Houston office, in joint venture with Houston-based Hallmark Group, was awarded the contract to provide construction management services.
