The authority operates Highway 183A, the only toll road in the nation during the past 20 years to meet operations, maintenance and debt service financial requirements in its first year of operation — generating $400,000 per month above expenditures, according to a statement released by HNTB.

HNTB’s Austin office will provide technical engineering and program management to support the authority’s programs. Currently, 183A is the only constructed toll road operated by the authority. Several are in various stages of development.
