Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 8 broke ground this fall on a new fire station to replace Station No. 2, which was built in the late 1970s. The district provides emergency fire and medical first responder services to approximately 40,000 residents and businesses of southern Montgomery County, north of Houston in East Texas.
KAHickman Architects and Interior Designers of Round Rock are designing a modern fire station that features an emergency backup generation capable of powering the entire station and a radio communications system that will provide the fire department with communications across the district.
Teal Construction Co. of Houston is the general contractor and Jones & Carter Inc of The Woodlands is the civil engineer for the project.
