Tallest Residential Building in Austin – The Austonian - Tops Out

Text size: A A

Two years after the start of construction, The Austonian topped out with the placement of a final steel beam this fall on the tallest residential building in Austin and the western U.S., according to the project’s developer.

Topping out at 683 ft, the 56-story high-rise luxury condominium is scheduled to open in spring. The Austonian’s final height will be reached with the installation of an illuminated glass crown later this year.

Dallas-based Balfour Beatty is building The Austonian. Construction on the high-rise began in September 2007.
