United Supermarkets Builds Second Distribution Center in DFW

Text size: A A

Lubbock-based United Supermarkets purchased land in Hillwood’s Alliance Gateway Park on Freedom Drive in Roanoke for the firm’s second distribution center.

Site preparation work began mid-November with anticipated completion by Sept. 1. The 200,000-sq-ft facility will be developed and operated by Exel, the

logistics company which operates United’s distribution center at Llano Logistics in

Lubbock. United currently operates six stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area – in Colleyville, McKinney, Allen, Frisco, Coppell and Plano. The latter four opened within a 14-month span ending last April.
