Dallas Firms Tasked With GSA Feasibility Study

Dallas-based Beck Technology Ltd. secured a contract from the U.S. General Services Administration to conduct a feasibility study for the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development.

HUD is currently housed in the Robert C. Weaver Federal Building in Wash., D.C. Constructed in 1968. The Federal Building is owned by the GSA and was recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Beck Technology teamed with Dallas-based HOK Architects and Dallas-based Purdy McGuire Mechanical & Electrical Engineers to evaluate the viability of a renovation and/or modernization. Beck will use its DProfiler program and other Building Information Modeling software to conduct the study.
